General Stairlift FAQs

A stairlift is a motorised chair that moves along a rail attached by small feet screwed directly to your staircase, allowing you to safely go up and down stairs. It is battery-powered to ensure continuous operation even during power cuts. Stairlifts recharge automatically in their park position.

Installation & Maintenance

Most straight stairlifts can be installed in under 2 hours, while curved stairlifts may take up to 4 hours due to their custom design.

Yes! All our stairlifts are powered by rechargeable batteries that allow multiple trips even if the power goes out. They will automatically recharge when power is restored.

Pricing & Financing

The cost varies based on the type of stairlift, staircase design, and additional features. Straight stairlifts start at approximately £895/£2,500, while stairlifts for curved staircases can range from £1995/£5,000+. Prices can also vary depending on if you opt for a brand new or a reconditioned stairlift. Contact us for a personalised quote.

At present we don’t. We do however, accept various payment methods, including debit card, bank transfer or cash.

You may qualify for government grants or disability assistance programs to help cover the cost of your stairlift. You would need to contact your local councils aids and adaptation team. There can be a long wait of 6 months to 3 years for funding depending on where you live in the country.
