Consumer Credit Notice:
14-Day Cooling-Off Period for Distance Selling

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation, and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, Helping Hand Stairlifts provides customers with a 14-day cooling-off period for purchases made through distance selling methods (e.g., online, phone, or mail order).

Your Right to Cancel

  1. Cooling-Off Period

    You have the right to cancel your agreement with Helping Hand Stairlifts within 14 calendar days of receiving your order confirmation or, in the case of goods, from the day they are delivered to you.
  2. How to Cancel

    To exercise your right to cancel, you must inform us in writing of your decision to withdraw from the contract before the 14-day period expires.
    • You can notify us via email, postal mail.   
    • Include your name, address, order details, and the reason for cancellation.
  3. Refunds
    • If you cancel within the 14-day period, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid.
    • Refunds will be processed using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise.
  4. Exemptions

    The right to cancel may not apply to:
    • Custom or made-to-order stairlifts and rail specifically tailored to your requirements including straight and curved stairlifts that are cut to size and made bespoke to your staircase.
    • Goods that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons if unsealed.
    • Services already fully performed with your prior consent within the cooling-off period.
  5. Faulty Goods or Services

    This cooling-off period does not affect your statutory rights. If goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described, you may be entitled to additional remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
